Navegador privado no Firefox (anonimato)

Private browsing is a browser feature in Firefox that enables anonymous browsing – meaning that no information is left behind about which websites you have visited.

On this page you can read about the following:

  • How to open a private browser in Firefox
  • How to set Firefox to always start in Private Browsing mode

Open a Private Browser in Firefox

  1. Right-click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar at the bottom of Windows
  2. Click on the New private window menu item
  3. A Firefox window in private mode will open; notice that the Firefox button (in the top left corner of the browser) has now changed color from the normal orange to purple – this indicates that the browser window is in private. There is also a small mask indicating the same

Alternative 1: You can also open a private window by clicking the Firefox button in the top left corner of the browser and selecting the New private window menu item

Alternative 2: You can also open private windows using the shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + P in Firefox

Set Firefox to always start in Private Browsing

If you want Firefox to start up as a private browser by default, you can do this:

  1. Click the Firefox button in the top left corner of the browser
  2. Click on the menu item Options
  3. Click the drop-down menu ‘Firefox will:’ and select Never save history.
  4. Click the OK button at the bottom of the same menu

Firefox will now start as Private Browser every time!
